ObjectiveThe purpose of this study was to measure life quality and influential factors ofthe rural elderly with three endowment patterns of elderly of the family endowmen,community endowment and institution endowment in Henan province. Explore therelationship between various factors and life quality.MethodsThis observational study used stratified multi-stage sampling method. FromJanuary18,2012to the end of March2013, we used36-item short from health surveyand basic situation questionnaire to investigate county administrative villages andpension institutions in Luoshan.667elderly aged60years old and above lived inrural area were included. SPSS17.0statistical software was used for data processingand analysis. t test, analysis of variance, and multivariate regression analysis, tratifiedanalysis, were used to compare the basic characteristics of rural elderly, status andquality of life of older people evaluate factors. α value of0.05.Results1.The over all health status of three different endowment patterns of rural elderlyquality of life was60.05±17.01. the mean score of three endowment patterns were62.75±18.79、60.68±15.41、54.91±15.07. The mental health (MH) and socialfunction (SF) dimension scores were higher in the elderly, the self-evaluation ofgeneral health (GH) and vitality (VT) dimension scores were lower.2.The results showed that the scores of life quality of the rural elderly fordifferent groups decreased with the increasing of age(P<0.05);At the same time, thescores increased with the enhancement of level of education(P<0.05);The elderly who had a partner the health-related quality of life higher than those had no partner,and the elderly life quality score of each dimension was reduced with the decreased ofself-care ability(P<0.05);The elderly whose monthly income per capita was morethan1500yuan,the life quality score is higher in PF, RE, MH three dimensions thanthose income were less than1500yuan, and their quality of life increased with themonthly income per capita(P<0.05); The elderly quality of life score was higherthan that without chronic diseases, except the RE dimension, each of the score wasstatistically significan(tP<0.05); The scores of life quality of the elderly who had nosuffering from chronic disease at two weeks was higher than that who was sufferingfrom chronic disease(P<0.05); For the rural elderly that only drinking, except bodypain (BP) and mental health (MH) dimensions,the other6dimensions scores werehigher than both smoking and drinking elderly(P<0.05);The elderly who fall ill, lackof care and have spiritual loneliness,the life quality score of each dimension was low(P<0.05).3. The multiple stepwise regression analysis was making the total score as dependentvariable and15factors as independent variables, it revealed that factors influencingtotal quality of life included age, culture level, the independent living situation,endowment pattern, two-week prevalence and chronic disease prevalence and pensiondispute occurs.Conclusion1. The rural elderly first choice is family endowment.the next is communityendowment in Luoshan. The number of institutional endowment is limited. Familyendowment elderly has the highest life quality, and the elderly institutionalendowment has the lowest life quality.2. The main factors influencing the life quality of rural elderly are: age, monthlyincome per capita, self-care, endowment pattern, prevalence of chronic disease.
