Objectives:To explore a feasible and effective teaching method for nursing interns of NervalCare Unit (NCU) to improve the clinical teaching quality and teaching effect to makethem adapt to the environment as soon as possible and to make them master NCUpatient’s disease characteristics and special care skills. It will be promoted if it workswell. At the same time, professional quality including teaching ability and the level ofknowledge will be enhanced and improved, which will lay a good foundation forcultivate practicable nurse for the nerval care unit. Methods:With the whole cluster sampling method, we selected80nursing students fromDecember2013to March2014practising in Brain Hospital NCU of ZhengzhouPeople’s Hospital. The students were divided into case and control groups. Thecontrol group was implemented by traditional teaching method according to theteaching plan; the experiential group was implemented by comprehensive teachingmethod. After the internship in the NCU, the questionnaire of NCU nursing studentswill be finished by nursing interns and the questionnaire of NCU teacher will befinished by the clinical teachers. Data was analyzed by statistical software SPSS17.0, statistical methods included descriptive statistics, independent samples t test methodsand so on.Results:1. The difference of two groups, in master the various drugs, the use of variousinstruments, the methods of measuring CVP, the use of micro-pumps, the nursingmethod of artificial airway and the learned knowledge, is statistically significant(P <0.05). The difference of two groups, in familiar with the environment and adapts toshifts, was not statistically significant (P>0.05).2. The difference of two groups, in the relationship of teachers and students, wasnot statistically significant (P>0.05). The difference of two groups, in evaluation ofteching method, is statistically significant (P <0.01).3. The satisfaction score of students in the experimental group to NCUdepartment and teachers were26.72±3.03and37.82±10.18; the satisfaction scoreof students in the control group to NCU department and teachers were20.53±11.67and29.25±9.05respectively. The difference of two groups, in satisfication to NCUdepartment and teacher, were statistically significant (P <0.01).4. The theoretical and operation performance scores of nursing students in theexperimental group were91.95±7.65and92.80±6.87; The theoretical andoperation performance scores of nursing students in the control group were85.82±8.15and88.52±10.26; The difference of two groups, in theoretical and operationperformance scores, were statistically significant(P <0.05).5. The difference of two groups, in the time spent by techers or teachingtheoretical and operation knowledge, the evaluation of effictiveness of clinicalteaching, the promoting the use of teaching methods and the enhancement of personalability, were statistically significant (P <0.01).Conclusions:1.Comprehensive teaching method in NCU nursing interns promotes the nursinginterns for adapting for requirment in NCU nurse as soon as possible. 2. Comprehensive teaching method in NCU nursing interns improves thesatisfacation of the nursing students for the clinical teaching.3. Comprehensive teaching method in NCU nursing interns is benifit forimroving the theoretical and operation skill scores of nursing students.4. Comprehensive teaching method in NCU nursing interns can accelerate thenursing students to master the theoretical and operation ability as soon as possible.5. Comprehensive teaching method in NCU nursing interns is benifit forpromoving the students and clinical teachers’ subjective initiative.
