BackgroundAccording to relevant data, about twenty million cases of patients with inguinal hernia, conservative estimates China each year, about2million patients with inguinal hernia.Inguinal hernia treatment is mainly surgery. There are various ways of inguinal hernia surgery, and its curative effect also vary.At present, the laparoscopic technique has been widely used in hernia surgery underwent laparoscopic hernia repair by peritoneal (Transabdominal preperitoneal, TAPP) after years of development, technology matures, the main approach to surgery is the treatment of inguinal hernia; And operate on the traditional hernia repair (Lichtenstein) still widely used in clinic, compared with TAPP, both advantages and disadvantages of each operation so it is necessary to evaluate the clinical effect of two kinds of operation method, to effectively improve the cure rate in patients with inguinal hernia.ObjectiveTo evaluate inguinal hernia laparoscopic transabdominal preperitoneal hernia repair (TAPP) and hernia ring fillingtension-free hernia repair (Lichtenstein) clinical curative effect.MethodsIn our hospital from2010January to2013February underwent TAPP operation in70cases (group TAPP),underwent open mesh repair in70cases (group Lichtenstein).Clinical data and treatment effect of the2groups were analyzed retrospectively, including operation time, postoperative hospital stay, postoperative ambulation time, cost of hospitalization, postoperative eating time and theincidence of postoperative complications. ResultsTAPP group operation time, hospitalization costs high, compared with the Lichtenstein group was statistically significant (P<0.05); group TAPP, hospitalization time, postoperative eating time and postoperative time compared with the Lichtenstein group shortened obviously, the difference has statistical significance (P<0.05); differences in urinary retention, hematoma, scrotal emphysema, hernia recurrence two groups of patients with postoperative complications had no statistical significance (P>0.05);compared with Lichtenstein group, TAPP operation can reduce the rate of wound infection and incisional pain (P<0.05).ConclusionAlong with the technical skill, laparoscopic inguinal hernia repair with less trauma, less complications, shorter operation time and lower recurrence rate advantages, is a kind of ideal inguinal hernioplasty.
