Objective:To compare the clinical efficacy of Laparoscopic transabdominal preperitoneal(TAPP)and plug plus flat mesh tension-free hernioplasty in the treatment of hernia. Methods:Obtained data on patients undergoing inguinal hernia surgery between August 2013 and August 2017 in the general surgery of People's Hospital of Tinghu District,Yancheng City,Jiangsu Province. The number of patients was 206,which were divided into two groups according to different surgical methods. They were laparoscopic transperitoneal anterior hernia repair group(laparoscopic group)and plug-mesh patch repair group(plug-mesh group). The operation time, blood loss, postoperative bedtime, normal activity time, hospitalization time and hospitalization expenses were compared between the two groups. The postoperative pain scores and postoperative complications were analyzed in the two groups(foreign sensation, wound infection, urinary retention)and hernia recurrence were performed.Patient satisfaction surveys were performed using a 5-parameter Likert scale. Results:The general clinical data of the two groups, such as gender, age and type of hernia, were not statistically significant,comparable(P>0.05),and all patients successfully completed the operation. The study found that the laparoscopic surgery time, bleeding volume,post-operative bedtime, normal activity time and hospital stay were significantly lower than the plug-mesh group(P<0.05).The VAS score of the laparoscopic group was superior to the plug-mesh group at 24 hours after surgery(P<0.05).After three months, the severity of pain was reduced in both groups. There was no significant difference between the VAS score and the laparoscopic group(P>0.05).The majority of patients with postoperative pain were mainly inguinal pain and testicular pain. The cost of hospitalization was higher in the laparoscopic group than in the plug-mesh group(P<0.05),and the two groups of patients had postoperative complications and hernia recurrence rate. There is no obvious difference between the two group. The satisfaction of patients in the laparoscopic group was higher than that in the plug-mesh group(P<0.05).Conclusions:Laparoscopic transperitoneal anterior hernia repair has a faster recovery, less pain and higher satisfaction than plug-mesh hernia repair.
