Objective: This project regards patients with colorectal cancer and gastric cancer inchemotherapy including oxaliplatin as research object, nourishing blood andwarming channel for dredging collateral with Chinese herbal medicine soaking as themain intervention, incidence and the scale of neurotoxicity and the doze of oxaliplatinthat cause Ⅱ degrees and above neurotoxicity as the research indexes. This paper isto discuss the efficacy of prevention and treatment of neurotoxicity induced byoxaliplatin, through nourishing blood and warming channel for dredging collateralwith Chinese herbal medicine soaking. Methods: This research adopts the method of prospective randomized controlled trial(RCT).105patients with chemotherapy including oxaliplatin are separated to twogroups, patients with pure chemotherapy are in control group, the other cases intreatment group accept chemotherapy, meanwhile with Chinese herbal medicinesoaking, what will be observed are the morbidities of acute and chronic neurotoxicity, the dozes of oxaliplatin that cause Ⅱ degrees and above neurotoxicity in two groups. Results: Neurotoxicity morbidity in treatment group is59.3%, while control group is78.5%, P=0.012(2-tailed), in accordance with significant level(0.05), difference ofneurotoxicity morbidities between two groups possesses statistical significance, treatment group is effective. The doze of oxaliplatin that cause Ⅱ degrees and aboveneurotoxicity in treatment group is1045.7±217.6mg, control group is962.5±300.1mg,P=0.511(2-tailed)>0.05, so difference of dozes of oxaliplatin between two groups hasno statistical significance. Conclusion: Nourishing blood and warming channel for dredging collateral withChinese herbal medicine soaking reduces the morbidity and scale of neurotoxicityinduced by oxaliplatin, however, not improves the doze of oxaliplatin that cause Ⅱdegrees and above neurotoxicity. Chinese herbal medicine soaking has no obviousinfluence on medullary hematopoiesis, hepatic and renal function, chemotherapyresponse, etc.
