This study aimed at finding the effects of traditional Chinese medicine "Bao gan hu shen tuo mei su" on special wild boar’s reproductive and growth performance. We choose 60 sows and 40 piglets to do the test. The results of the test are:the 1‰ group and the montmorillonite group have no significant difference with the control group in incidence of endometritis(P>0.05) while the 2%o group is much lower than the control group(P<0.05). The 2%o group and montmorillonite group are slightly higher than the control group and l%o group in delivery rate, but statistical difference is little(P>0.05). As for the litter sizes, the montmorillonite group>2%o group>1‰ group>the control group, still statistical difference not significant(P>0.05). But for the number of bom alive per litter, the three experimental groups are significantly higher than the control group(P<0.05). As for litter weight at birth, the montmorillonite group,1‰ and 2‰ group are much more higher than the control group(P<0.05). The 1‰ group is significantly higher than the control group in weaning weight per litter while the montmorillonite group and 2%o group are even much more higher than the control group(P<0.01). After weaning, the three experimental groups have much higher estrus rate than the control group(P<0.05). As for after weaning estrus interval, the three experimental groups are shorter than the control group(P<0.05) and 2‰ group is significantly shorter than the montmorillonite group(P<0.05).As for average daily feed intake(AFDI), the 4 groups are almost the same, statistical difference is not significant(P>0.05). As for average daily gain(ADG) of the piglets,2%o group>montmorillonite group>1‰ group>the control group, the difference between each group is not significant(P>0.05). As for feed conversion(F/G),2%o group<1‰ group<montmorillonite group<the control group, and statistical difference is not significant(P>0.05).The results shows that, adding the medicine "Bao gan hu shen tuo mei su" into the diet of wild boars can lower the incidence of endometritis, increase estrus rate and shorten after weaning estrus interval of sows. The litter size and number of born alive have also increased. At the same time, the diarrhea rate of piglets has dropped. Piglets health and growth condition has also increased. AFDI of piglets has been increased and the feed conversion has decreased. The results of this test indicate that, adding traditional Chinese medicine "Bao gan hu shen tuo mei su" by treatment into diet can significantly improve the reproductive and growth performance of the special wild boar and 2‰ has the best effect.
