In this work,160healthy weaning "DLY" piglets were selected, and average divided into4groups, a control group and three experimental groups. Those three experimental groups were fed with the feed adding2‰" Bao gan hu shen tuo mei su "7days,14days,21day continuously in each month, respectively, and fed with common feed other times. The control group was always fed with ordinary feed each month. We study the effects of Bao gan hu shen tuo mei su" on the performance production and blood biochemical indices of nursery pig. The experimental results shows that, at the incidence of diarrhoea, three experimental groups were significantly lower than the control group (P<0.01), adding14days and21days group were significantly lower than those of adding7day group (P<0.05); At the incidence of respiratory diseases, adding7days and14days group were significantly lower than the control group (P<0.05), adding21days group were significantly lower than the control group (P<0.01); At the incidence of leg and foot disease, adding14days and21days group were significantly lower than the control group and7days in group (P<0.05). At the mortality in pigs, three experimental groups were significantly lower than the control group (P<0.01). At average treatment time of every ill pig,14days and21days was significantly less than the control group (P<0.05).14days and21days group daily weight gain was significantly higher than that in controls (P<0.05).14days and21days group sun all intake was significantly lower than the control group (P<0.05), but the weight gain was significantly higher than the control group (P<0.05), feed/meat ratio was significantly lower than the control group and the group of7days (P<0.05). Serum ALP levels of those three test group were significantly lower than that of control group (P<0.01); The serum ALT of adding14days and21days were significantly lower than adding7days group and the control group (P<0.05); Compared with the control group, the serum AST and BUN levels of those three test group had no significant difference (P>0.05), but AST and BUN decrease to some extent; the three test group serum ALB,TP, GLU content compared with the control group had no significant difference (P>0.05), but ALB, TP and GLU levels were increased in different degree. In conclusion, adding2‰traditional Chinese medicine "Bao gan hu shen tuo mei su" in the feed, could significantly reduce the morbidity and mortality of nursery pigs, and easier treatment after the onset, significant improved the production performance of nursery pigs, and increased feed efficiency. And adding21days of a month was the best.
