Introduction And Stress Resistance Evaluating Of 3 Garden Flowers In Yinchuan

Yinchuan located in the arid area of China,the species of garden plant are less. Introduction is one of the effective ways to increase garden plant resources and improving urban greening. In 2011, three garden flowers which are Hemerocallis hybridus, Chrysanthemum morifolium Ramat and Chyrsanthemum Cultivars, were introduced from Beijing. The growth status and stress resistance of three species were compared, and the results were as follows.1. When introduced to Yinchuan, the planting survival rate of Hemerocallis hybridus, Chrysanthemum morifolium Ramat and Chyrsanthemum Cultivars are 96.3%, 92.7% and 88.3% respectively. The expanded breeding survival rate were 85.0% and 90.1% and 88.3%. These indicate a high survival rate of the introduction. Compared with the individuals in Beijing, the differences of plant height, crown diameter, stem diameter and color are not significant. The three species can be growing through the winter and summer, can smoothly breeding, and the economic traits are not changed. These suggesting that the introduction is successful, and the three species can adapting the climate and environment of Yinchuan.2. Salt tolerance test show that when the soil salt content lower than 3.4g/kg, the survival rate of three species is more than the 80%. When soil salt content higher than 10g/kg, the Chrysanthemum morifolium Ramat cannot surviving, and the survival rate of Chrysanthemum morifolium Ramat and Chyrsanthemum Cultivars were decreased significantly. When the soil salt content lower than 3.4g/kg, three species were no salt injury symptoms; when the salt content higher than 7.8, three species appearing 100% of salt damage. The average soil salt content in Yinchuan is 1.5g/kg, which is suitable for the growth of three species.3. Drought resistance test indicated that, under drought stress, Hemerocallis hybridus show higher water holding capacity, lower water deficit and higher bound water / free water, suggesting the strongest drought resistance property, the second is Chrysanthemum morifolium Ramat. The drought resistant ability of Chyrsanthemum Cultivars is the weakest.4. Using AHP method, comparing the stress resistance of three species, the result shows that the order of stress resistance ability of three species, in Yinchuan, is Hemerocallis hybridus >Chrysanthemum morifolium Ramat and > Chyrsanthemum Cultivars.The results of the introduction, cultivation and stress resistance test showing that, 3 garden flowers could adapting to drought and salinity in Yinchuan, which is suitable for the cultivation and application in Yinchuan. The successful introduction of 3 garden flowers can increasing the germplasm resources of garden flower in Yinchuan, and improving the landscape of the city.
