Due to the influence of natural and human factors for a long time, the natural pastures of China’s Xinjiang region are serious degradation, there has been insufficient livestock forage, reduced productivity and other issues. At the same time, China’s Xinjiang region annually produces a large amount of corn straw, however our straw utilization rate is not high, whole straw discarded, field burning phenomenon is serious. With the help of Xinjiang Qitai Zhenxing Industrial & Trade Limited Liability Company to develop a new type of pick up roller on grass straw collecting grinder to improve the utilization efficiency of our region straw.In this paper, the mature corn straw who has harvested the fruit is our research object. First of all, we point out the main factors who affect the mechanical cutting corn stalks through the analysis of the characteristics of corn straw and the cross-sectional organization. Through the analysis of the straw cutting theory we determine the cutting conditions of slide cut, and establish the mechanic model of corn straw, as well as the kinematics analysis was carried out on the reciprocating cutting mechanism.Secondly, we were analyzed the design requirements and the working principle of the new pick up roller on grass straw collecting grinder and using the three-dimensional solid modeling software Pro/ Engineer to important institutions pickup device modeling and motion simulation. Through the analysis of the crushing device, we point out the hammer of sports to meet the dynamic balance condition, for the normal operation of the pick-up mill provides a theoretical basis.Finally, with the help of ANSYS finite element analysis software we were analysis the dynamic blade grinding device to the static structure, point out the stress and strain in the moving blade in force, provide a theoretical basis for the optimization tool. Then the development of the whole machine is pointed out that the field experiment in 75 horsepower farm tractors to drive to work, the machine work speed is 2.3 km per hour, pickup speed 48 r/min, screw rotational speed 2140 r/min, the machine of straw collecting rate and length of straw crushing rate, provide the basis for further optimization design.
