As a spatial data management and analysis tool, GIS has shown a broad application prospects in all areas of life and research. GIS-based design harvesting operations are an important basis for decision-making in modern forestry management, and it also is an important aspect of maintaining-sustainable forest management. Therefore, how to select and optimize harvesting methods, and how to more effectively manage the data of harvesting operations design, and how to achieve the goal of spatial analysis and mapping, become a necessary issue for the development of harvesting operations design. In this context, the study established the deforestation decision support system by means of GIS and other IT. It was designed to achieve cutting area, cutting area configure, the relevant of spatial data and attribute data linkage peer review management, to fully grasp the situation of the cutting area, and finally to provided evidence for the decision-making of forest harvesting.Decision and development of support system for deforestation based on GIS has been established in this article, including the functions of the basic functions of GIS, statistical analysis, harvesting decisions, data management, system management and so on. The research designs decision support system using C/S structure frame, defining the data layer, the logical layer and the application layer. Because of the diversity and multidimensional characteristics of the data of forest resources in the farm classes, the system database takes Geodatabase as the data storage model, so as to organize spatial data and attribute data more easier. GIS-based Decision and development of support system for deforestation was developed with ArcGIS Engine components, GIS technology in Visual Studio.Net with C#.Taking Jiangle forest farm in Sanming Fujian Province as the study object, the article combined the Jiangle forest farm resources survey data with image data, and to operate system demonstrations from both spatial and attribute aspects. The accomplishment of the system has realized farm deforestation planning and design experience from the traditional decision-making to the information and intelligent shift and fulfilled the needs of forest harvesting of the form.The system was developed under the guidance the theory of G1S, achieved good effects for user experience and realized the changes in forest deforestation and decision from traditional static management to the modern dynamic integrated management. The system met the urgent needs of the forest deforestation and decision of the farm, and more to enhance the level of scientifical decision of the farm, and the research and implementation of this system software has a certain reference to other units.
