Kiwifruit Cultivation In Facility In North Area In Yulin

In recent years，kiwifruit has rapidly evolved into a global culture emerging fruit trees,according to statistics，the annual rate of China’s kiwifruit cultivation area and yield is nearly30percent. The market acceptance of kiwifruit is growing gradually.because of considerablebenefits, there come a " Planting Fever" phenomenon of kiwifruit. The kiwifruit cultivationrequires mild, humid and soft environmental conditions and fertile soil,rich in organic mattercontent of the soil. The unsuitable environmental conditions can affect the quality and yield ofkiwifruit.Now kiwifruit is mainly cultivated in southern China. The extreme low temperatureof winter, frost-free period is shorter and the effective temperature often fail to fruit growth inmost of northern China, where can only plant some fruit trees with resistance to cold,northern species in open field cultivation of fruit trees is single.Currently, the cultivation of fruit trees in facility in the north is more widely. The fruittree cultivation in facilities is controlling the growth of fruit trees within the facilities for theneeded environmental conditions, reach people’s production targets. As the entire productionprocess can be controlled, on the one hand,the sudden impact of natural disasters on the fruitis reduced, on the other hand, under certain conditions can artificially control the growthcycle of the fruit to achieve early or late maturity, extend the supply of various fruits. And thefacility cultivation can increase the yield. The “hongyang” kiwifruit cultivation experimentshowed that the facilities can increase yield of about40%. The cultivation of grapes, cherriesin northern facility is successful. Cultivation of fruit trees will be achieved for the Southcultivation of fruit trees planted in the north,rich the fruit trees species in north, meet the fruitmarket.Yulin, the lighting is adequate, up to2700-2900hours. Large temperature differencebetween day and night, the annual rainfall is mainly concentrated in7,8,9months, rain andheat sync with adequate lighting conditions lead to the accumulation of organic matter,making better quality of agricultural products. And the specific sandy soil in Yulin is verybeneficial for kiwifruit root growth.In addition,the investment in modern agriculture in Yulinis great, until2010,the government of Yulin invest68.3million yuan of provincial,municipal invest126million yuan in modern agriculture demonstration projects,to the construction of a first-class modern Yulin specialty agricultural base.To sum up the conditions,we carried out the kiwifruit cultivation in facilities experimentin March2013in the northern region-Yulin, preliminary results show high survival rate ofyoung plant,about96%，under the low temperature-23.7℃outside and-9.6℃inside. Theadaptability is quite good.
