| After 30 years of development, the kiwifruit(Actinidia) production has become an important part of the fruit industry in north Guangdong( Liu qiang et al.,2014). The cultivation area and yield of kiwifruit have been increasing. Kiwifruit production has become an agricultural pillar industry in Heping County, and a certain area of kiwifruit has been cultivated in Longchuan County. To further develop a stronger kiwifruit industry in Guangdong Province, Research of the cultivation mode with high production was studied for the farmers to increase both production and income from their kiwifruit orchards, for Guangdong kiwifruit industry to improve its competitive ability in the market. By means of selecting garden plot, building canopy frame, fertilizing and irrigating management, pruning and shaping, controlling disease and insect pests, artificial pollinating, thinning blossom and fruit, the cultivation mode with high production in the slopeland kiwifruit orchard was designed. Comparison in yield and fruit quality between cultivation mode with high production and the normal cultivation mode was made in order to explore the key production techniques applied in slopeland kiwifruit orchards for high yield and good quality(Zhang xueqin et al.,2013).The main results in the studies were as follows:1. The leaf characters in legth and width of ‘Xu Xiang’ kiwifruit under two years of high production cultivation mode was not significantly different from those of the normal cultivation at 1% and 5% level. Its fruit characters in size and weigth were significantly different from those of the normal cultivation but not significantly different in fruit length and fruit number. The results showed that effect of high production mode on the leaves was minor but more remarkable on the fruits.2. Management of the canopy frame made the fruit spurs and fruits more equidistribute on the frame so that the ‘Xu Xiang’ kiwifruit orchard under the high production cultivation mode could photosynthesize more efficiently in the limited space and more organic matter could be accumulated in the fruits, thus high yield of the kiwifruit orahard could be obtained by means of improved cultivation mode.3. The fruit quality of ‘Xu Xian’ kiwifruit under high production cultivation mode was not significantly different from the normal cultivation in vitamin C content, sugar content and soluble protein content. This result suggested that high production cultivation mode was with little effect on the fruit quality.4. The high production cultivation mode was applied in ‘Zhong He Hongyang’ kiwifruit orchards. After multiple top grafting of fruit spurs on the older stock plants and forcing cultivation, the ‘Zhong He Hongyang’ kiwifruit orchard could bear fruit next year, arrive to put into production two years after top grafting, and reach fertility three years after top grafting.5. Comparison of economical input-output of ‘Xu Xiang’ kiwifruit orchard between different cultivation modes indicated that 278000 yuan/ha of income and 39.50t/ha of fruits were obtained from the orchard under the high production mode, 225500yuan/ha of income and 23.25 t/ha of fruits more than the normal cultivation orahard. This meant that the high production cultivation mode was with good application prospect. |
