In order to fully utilized Potentilla anserine L., that was wild vegetable resources.Distribution and capacity of Potentilla anserine L. in Qinghai province were investigated andcollected and transplant the plant firstly. Following the elite germplasm resources were selectedthrough method systematic selection of individual plants, at the same time, the nutritionalcomponents of Potentilla anserine was determined.The results showed that the distribution of Potentilla anserine in Qinghai province waswide-ranging, total distributive area was58.73×104ha, and the distributive area in Yushucanton and Guoluo canton was the biggest. The vertical distribution range from1700m to4600m,the ecological environment was various, type of vegetation and auxiliary species were differentin different area. Potentilla anserine L. could grow in different soil type and climatic condition.The total capacity of Potentilla anserine L. was about65.81×104on and the biggest annualallowable yield was21.04×104ton in Qinghai province.In2005,14parent germplasm resources of Potentilla anserine were collected and planted inthe parent material distribution.Through comparative trial, the8individual plants,YCD-4,YNQ-7,GDR-5,BMY-9,HHN-1,GGD-3,BGC-3,XDT-6,were selected, they measured upthe standards of selective breeding. Secondly6individual plants,YCD-4-1,YNQ-7-4, GDR-5-6,BMY-9-5,HHN-1-7,GGD-3-8were selected in2006through observed of botanical character andagricultural biological character and determined of qualitative nutritional components. In2007the comparative trial for adaptation was carried out, the6types of plant respectively wereplanted in Chuanshui area, lower mountain dry land area and high mountain dry land area,BMY-9-5, YNQ-7-4and GDR-5-6were selected,they had high yield and high quality,they werethe elite gremplasm resources.The nutritional components of Potentilla anserine L. were determined and analyzed.Theresults showed that content of nutritional components of Potentilla anserine L. was significantlyhigher than other rhizome crop. especially the content of crude fiber, crude protein were higherthan other rhizome crop too much times., As inorganic elements, the content of Fe, Se were wasoutstanding. There were not only varieties of amino acid, but also eight kinds of essential aminoacid to human body in this plant.The content of arginine was more than other foods. The content of vitamin C and E was outstanding. Potentilla anserine L. contained bioactive compounds suchas polysaccharides, total flavonoids and tannic.The content of nutritional components of GDR-5-6, YNQ-7-4was the highest in all of typesof plant of Potentilla anserine L. and YCD-4-1, GGD-3-8were secondary. The content ofnutritional components of BMY-9-5and HHN-1-7were low.The content of crude fat, crude fiber, starch, vitamin C and bioactive compounds in autumnharvested Potentilla anserine L. were higher than in spring harvested it. The content of inorganicelements, amino acid, other vitamin were irregular pattern in autumn harvested Potentilla anserineL. and in spring harvested it. The content of crude protein, total sugar were nearly steady.
