By the opening of Chinese domestic firm self-conducted right of import & export, international market competition intensified. Un-producing pharmaceutical foreign trade companies are facing challenge. Currently, competition between companies is not only by products, but by effective supply chain. Enhancing enterprise comprehensive competitiveness requires keeping increasing operation efficiency of each links in the chain and keeping reducing operation cost of corresponding ones. How to change the mind of management, making itself become the operator and manager of supply chain, is what these companies’ exploring direction recent years.This paper choosing an pharmaceutical foreign trade company--K company as the study subject, use the method of case study, research on its procurement management. Firstly, explain the procurement management theory; then introduce K company, analysis its procurement management status and problems nowadays. Lastly, instructed by supply chain management theory, base on above problems, combine K company situations, re-formulate company’s procurement strategy and process, construct new procurement format, to let it comply with whole company strategy developing.This assay enhances supply chain management related achievement, at the same time, provides a whole set of K company procurement management optimization proposal, which could be instructive and constructive to other same type trade companies.
