With the twelfth five-year plan launched, textile industry transformation must be imperative, how to build a flexible supply chain fit brand development, reduce inventory, improve supply chain efficiency, improve comprehensive competitive strength of brand company, face from the international and domestic brand competitive threats efficiently became a major problem which brand company have to face.Garment products with diversity, seasonal, short cycle and consumption variety determine that successful garment brand company must have rapid response to market demand and capacity of inventory control. This paper aimed to discuss supply chain operation mode in the upgrading process of fashion brand, by building the supply chain of Ribo in shanghai.This paper first outlined several apparel supply chain modes and its characteristic, and then it narrated supply chain mode of Ribo in shanghai presently, namely RMI mode, from five parts of product planning, design and development, production and supply, logistics distribut and retail marketing.This paper discussed the negative effects of RMI mode, for example, it can make bullwhip effect and it is difficult to realize maximize profit of the whole supply chain, at the same time it can’t adapt to the competition environment of clothing market. After that this paper put forward thinking optimization of supply chain operation mode of Ribo, which adopted the VMI mode to achieve a reasonable control inventory, quick response to market demand.It certainly impact each links of supply chain of Ribo by carrying out the VMI mode. It expound how to realize the transformation from RMI to VMI mode eventually build the flexible supply chain of Ribo, by shaping the3A supply chain, emphasizing the cooperation and benefit congruency among each links, and adopting demand pull mode to realize the JIT.In addition, this paper also discussed the risk and opportunity which can exist in the process of building flexible supply chain. At last, it put some suggestions to resist the management, brand positioning problems and the decline in short-term performance by carrying out the VMI mode.
