China has been accessed as a number of WTO fornearly13years, the opening up of service industryand the development of service tradehavemade great achievements.Now China (Shanghai) Pilot Free Trade Zone is launching a new round of expansion of the service trade. This paper is about China’s service industry,its status and its open position, and then use single service trade competitiveness indicators such as TC, RCA, and CA tocompare the international competitiveness of the first five biggest import and export countries in2012(China III), and conclude that WTO’sstimulateinfluence on China services trade in export potential is far less than imports, resulting the TC, RCA indexof China in recent years has deteriorated, and all service trade departments are not internationally competitive,and the competitive disadvantagein capital and technology-intensive services sector is particularly prominent. Then this paper use Porter’s "diamond model", and select the service trade competitiveness factors, and explore the influencemechanism of opening up to the international competitiveness of China’s service sector.The empirical results show that the opening of China’s service trade has a positive influence in services international competitiveness, but this effect was not significant, indicating thatthe enhancementof services liberalization to the international competitiveness of China is still need tobe fully exploited, In addition, the development level of trade in goods, foreign direct investment, per capita GDP have an positive influence to enhance the international competitiveness of servicestrade, while the level of the RMB exchange rate showed a negative relationship withthe international competitiveness of China’s servicetrade.According to the above conclusion, we propose the following suggestions. To improve the international competitiveness of China’s service trade, we have toconsolidate theservice industry foundation,use goods trade to promoting servicetrade, take advantage of services FDI, foster new competitive advantages in service trade, and seize the opening upopportunity of Shanghai FTA to develop the trade in services.
