Wireless Sensor Network is a kind of communication network constructed by self-organized sensor nodes deployed in particular monitoring area. It is advanced in collect environmental data, monitor the real-time object information, process and transfer collected information through wireless protocol. In practical application circumstances, the sensor nodes are often placed in remote wild or harsh environment, where the battery-powered nodes will cost massive energy and human resource. Therefore, it is a very important issue to extend the lifetime of the Wireless Sensor Network. The energy harvesting technology allows the wireless sensor nodes to break the restriction of chemical battery capacity and to optimize energy harvesting nodes through a balanced layout, and as a result, to extend the network lifetime. However, the uncertainties of environmental harvested energy may cause unstable of the energy supply for the nodes, so that the throughput and stability of the network could be affected. In order to enable a full utilization of ambient energy and improve the throughput and stability of the sensor networks, this paper proposes an adaptive opportunistic routing optimization with duplicate detection algorithm. The algorithm divides the region of the network based on network conditions, and then redistributes transport priority to optimize routing process depend on available energy, making sure that the environmental energy harvesting nodes use are leveraged effectively for using environmental energy. Specifically, the classical algorithm GR-DD and EHOR are analyzed in-depth, and their problems existed in throughput and stability are pointed out. Focused on the problems in GR-DD and EHOR, a new algorithm ORCSA-DD is proposed to integrate the two algorithms. Meanwhile, some new ideas are involved, such as periodic listener/sleep, collision avoidance, et.al. Through mathematical demonstration and NS2 simulation, the throughput and stability of the three routing algorithms are compared. The analysis and experimental results show that with the comprehensive consideration about the network state, energy processing and route selection,ORCSA-DD significantly outperforms GR-DD and EHOR in improving throughput and stability of the Wireless Sensor Network. The improvement is especially remarkable in the networks where the proportion of energy harvesting nodes are relatively larger.
