In modern electronic warfare, passive location has become an indispensable part by its characteristic of strong concealment, strong anti-interference ability, far detection range and comprehension. Multi-stations’ cross-location one method of passive location has been widely used in the field of location technology by its characteristic of cost advantage and fast speed of summarizing the parameter attributes of targets. In this thesis, we focus on the research of the cross location technology based on infrared thermal imaging in infrared search & tracking system, and mainly study the double station DOA location, eliminating false intersection targets and how to optimized distribution station in the process of engineering implementation.Based on the analysis of common passive locating technology, the cross location system technology at home and abroad is studied. Combined with the overall scheme of infrared search & tracking system, the technology scheme of infrared double station cross location in infrared search & tracking system is described in detail. On this basis, the design of the double station direction finding cross location system is completed.According to the actual needs of the double station cross location system, the technologies of image detection and the track processing are studied. On the basis of the analysis of the adaptive filter tracking algorithm, the associated multiple period algorithm is proposed to eliminate false points in the cross location process. Simulation analysis and engineering results show that the algorithm not only can eliminate a large number of false targets, but also can achieve stable tracking of targets. Finally, according to the parameters of GDOP to analyze the accuracy of location, the distance between the station and the error of the measurement is obtained. The target track obtained by the proposed algorithm is relatively stable. Therefore the proposed algorithm meets the engineering requirements.
