Magazine book, also known as MOOK, is a form of publications ranging from magazines and books in the middle. In the 1970 s,the concept was established and flourished in Japan, in the 1990 s spread from China Taiwan into China mainland. In comparison, the magazine book in the modern sense started late in China, has its own history, and grew up in the Internet era, in particular, thus creating a unique publishing phenomenon and publishing practices. Magazine book publishing is a very microscopic publishing phenomenon in media field, but thinking the product and the case of the magazine book publishing with the media converged environment, and observing the magazine book publishing in different times, in different geographical and environmental characteristics of a historical perspective,analysis of the current characteristics and effective experience of magazine book products in the media and creative business,has a positive meaning to our understanding of the phenomenon of the magazine book publishing and thinking of how the traditional publishing industry in the face of the new publishing environment policy.Based on a deep understanding of media convergence,use the research methods as literature research, comparative law, investigation, text analysis, to get an observation of publishing environment in media convergence trend.Through organizing, summarizing and comparing to understand the characteristics of magazine book on different geographical and in different time.Learning and analyzing the editor plan and the operating conditions of the magazine book. explore the market advantage, existing problems and development trends of magazine book,as well as reveal the significance of the magazine book in media convergence.
