With the popularization of computers in all fields, it drives the development of software industry a lot. Good industry material is the base and guarantee of high quality projects, well management of building material is the key step of projects. In order to achieve good management, informatization and intelligence is the trend. Advanced technology and scientific management concept will replace traditional handy management mode.Against the problem that the current building material management software serving object is too singular, and to in order to improve the material management during the projects, promote safety and normativity of using material, reduce waste and enhance using efficiency, the essay take construction of Guiyang Free Trade Area as studying example, using UML model, C/S structure and database technology, and combining my working experience, the essay studied and analyzed the building material management of this project and optimized, achieved material meticulous management, all subject of responsibility could share material information and remote checking of real building status. In the business analysis, the essay analyzed and optimized material planning, purchasing and other 4 flows, and formed aptitude management, material purchase, uploading data and other 5 flows. In the function analysis, through case analysis and description, it defined system functions and provided system overall package diagram and ten subfunctions such as aptitude management, material purchase and so on. In the data analysis, it analyzed the data that need be processed in the system, and provided entity class diagram and built database table structure. The essay summarized the analysis in the last part, pointed out the deficiency of function and data analysis of the studied system, which need to be enriched and improve in the future project.
