Equipment, a main material foundation for an enterprise’s operation and production, determines the production efficiency of the enterprise and affects the operating profit, especially in the current competitive market. Therefore, enterprises are paying more and more attention to equipment management and thus a more efficient and convenient system for this purpose becomes a necessity.This paper, based on equipment management of POWERCHINA Kunming Engineering Corporation Limited(hereinafter referred to as "KHIDI"), discusses existing problems; clarifies the process of procurement, storage, operation, maintenance, recycling, account, basic information management and system management; analyzes system functions through case diagram and description; and provides an overall package diagram and eight sub package diagrams. Besides, it analyzes, through the purchasing management thumbnails and other seven thumbnails and entity class diagram, demand for system processing and storage as well as their relationship. At the end of the paper, it provides practical suggestions for KHIDI to improve and optimize its equipment management, which could help develop its own management system in the future.
