Research Purpose:Taoist Canon are complete works of the Daoism. DongXuan Department contains a lot of medical literature. Research of this thesis is to combo the literature, collect the required materials, analyze and classify the medical literature from different points of view. Hoping to get a better way of medical literature classification for Taoist medicine. This is done on the one hand to help followup study of commonly used drugs and prescriptions by Taoism, provide clues for clinical research; on the other hand, to provide references for continued study of organize and discover the Taoist Canon and other literatures.Research Methods:This papers mainly used three research methods:first is content combs method, search the DongXuan Department one by one to find medicine literatures; second is use multidisciplinary research such as philology, TCM, and religion, to select literature information for classification; third is induction and summary, to sum up the medication concept or method. Discuss the distribution and medication features of Taoist medical literature.Research Results:After an initial sorting, this paper divided into two parts:the prescriptions and drugs. This times, I totally filter out 146 prescriptions, and divide them into three aspects. First, is from dosage form angle. It is divided into seven classes:pills, dan, wine, powder, cream, decoction and the other. Second, is from effective angle. It is divided into three classes:cure class, health class and immortal class. Third, is from manufacturing and eating angle. It is divided into different classes by Taoist features.As drug section, this paper identified 23 kinds of drugs. Classified them from two angles: the origin and effect. Among them, I select 16 kinds of drugs for further study. According to the efficacy of different drugs, they were divided into three parts:health, medicine and immortal.Conclusion:After analysis those selected recipes, I find four ways of pharmacology features:first, the formulation. Pills, Dan are the most commonly used dosage forms, and commonly use white honey as excipients. Second, efficacy. Most prescriptions have health effect. Third, manufacturing. Taoism has special requirements for time and location. Forth, Dosage. Taoism has strict requirements for taking time and fasting ceremony.In the literature, most frequently occurring herbs are Chrysanthemum, Flax, Poria, Rehmannia etc. Most frequently occurring mineral medicine are Cinnabar, Realgar, Stones etc.Research Background:Taoist Canon are a series of compilation of Taoist books. It covers not only philosophy, literature, chemistry, geography, music, art and other contents, and also contains a large number of technological and scientific knowledge, especially medicinal knowledge. Taoist medicine, in a broad category, belongs to the traditional Chinese medicine. It is an area worthy of further exploration. The Taoist Canon have been edited since Eastern Jin dynasties, but only the Taoist Canon in the Ming dynasty spread in the world.Research Objects:This paper use the Ming dynasty Taoist Canon, which was stored in Beijing white cloud Temple, as raw data. Taoist Canon including the orthodox Taoist Canon and the continued accumulation of Wcnli Taoist Canon. Published in Ming Ying Zong of the Orthodox Decade(AD1445), a total of 1420 kinds books,5305 volumes, packing in 480 boxes, classified according to three Dongs and four auxiliaries, and twelve categories. Three Dong are the Dong Zhen, DongXuan and DongShen. Each Dong is divided into twelve categories, four auxiliaries are the supplement and explanation to the three Dongs. DongXuan have 300 kinds of canon. We selected 28 kinds of canon which contains medical literatures. According to these documents, we analysis and discuss those prescriptions and medicine, in order to find the characteristics of Taoist medicine.
