“Ling long Women’s Magazine” issued in Shanghai in 1931-1937 years to "promote women’s beautiful life, improve the social noble entertainment" for its target reader orientation, the middle class women in Shanghai. In Shanghai, the popular press in the fierce market competition, " Ling long Women’s Magazine " was capable of continuous running for seven years and loved by the many women, which has a close relation with the content and thought it spread. From the identity point of view, this paper answered the question of "who am I" and "who we are" problem for middle-class women in the pursuit of identity.The writer drew up a detailed analysis of the middle-class women on the body, thought, way of life and their desire for innovative self-identity, and social identity to express in social, career, social affairs. "Ling long Women’s Magazine" not only promoted the middle-class women group gathers and recreational consumption of middle-class women, but also offered the successful experience for the later fashion magazine in the editing and location.
