The ancient great natural environmen of Taihang Mt. area is one of the cradles of civilization, coupled with an important geographical boundaries of the ancient Central Plains and the Northwest Minority Areas. It breeds rich farming culture and business culture. The region has plenty of well-known ancient villages. The ancient village is not only a wealth of historic buildings, but also the distribution of the number of traditional infrastructure. As an important intangible cultural heritage, the traditional infrastructure determines the basic production and living. Because it carries a rich history, good ecological adaptability and distinctive constructing technology for its rich history information. It also contains very important historical value, construction technical and artistic value, ecological value and so on. It will have strong vitality in this era which emphasize low-carbon and sustainable development.However, since the 21 st century, Chinese traditional infrastructure was destroyed to a great extent with the rapid advance of urbanization. What must to be done is to construct a system of value evaluation of traditional infrastructure to protect it.This study selects typical villages of Tai-hang Mt. area and conducts the field research to ancient villages. It needs to conduct the traditional infrastructure Carding and classification by mapping, visits, historical archives methods. In order to construct the value evaluation system and determine the weights of this system, it needs to learn from the methods of architectural heritage evaluation system, combining characteristics of traditional infrastructure, and using mathematical calculation methods and software. The study take the Analytic Hierarchy Process(AHP), Delphi methods, as well as by means of a new sampling technique, such as use SPSS software to analyze the data, and then to construct the value evaluation of traditional infrastructure by using the output and feedback data. It will formulate appropriate adaptation strategies by Constructing the scientific value evaluation system and combining with the needs and protection requirements.This study will take the Xiaohe village, Yangquan City, Shanxi Tai-hang Mt. area for example. Through using the system to conduct the empirical research, it will divide infrastructure into different levels by the results of the evaluation results. For the different levels of traditional infrastructure, it needs to develop appropriate protection updates and reuse strategy to guide the update and reuse of the traditional infrastructure.The research also develop the “value evaluation system of traditional infrastructure for expert” software, which can omit the complex calculations of subjective fuzzy comprehensive evaluation, and improve operability of the evaluation system. The software can also calculate the final score by making the expert to enter the score of every factor.
