14C is a pure β radioisotope with a half-life period of 5730 years. The 14C of nuclear reactor mainly produced by neutron activation reaction14N(n, P) 14C and17O(n, α) 14C. As we all known, nitrogen, carbon and oxygen, widely exists in the core material and the moderator, and coolant, Therefore 14C may occur in the various processes in the reactor operation.14C is one of major radioactive gaseous effluent from nuclear power plant, that it will influellce the environment around the nuclear power plant. The amount of 14C could be increasing regionally aroused by reactor’s running, and it will do harm to people’s health after it transfers into food chains. The 14C bodily harm is Internal irradiation. According to IAEA study indicated that the effective dose equivalent of the world’s inhabitants contribute more than 1%.In this paper, the mechanism for 14C, mode of transmission, ecological research on the laws of the accumulation, and established the suitable mathematical model, by studying the environment of the actual measurement, radioactive tracer simulation methods such as environment of plant gaseous effluent 14C in a wide range of research.Have a preliminary understanding of the diffusion deposition process of 14C from gaseous effluent nuclear power station by the Gaussian misty rain model.Through the preliminary simulation, the 14C activity away from nuclear power plant 5km.is 36.7m Bq/m3 and approach the actual measurement data 43.9m Bq/m3 In this paper, IAEA empirical formula for estimating the gaseous effluent 14C dose to the public, residents within 5 km from Qinshan Nuclear Power Plant in 2009 due to received the dose of 14C is 14.06μSv/a was calculated by the formula, which far less than the state limit of 0.25 m Sv /a.In this paper, to evaluate the increasing impact of nuclear power plant effluent14C on the surrounding environment by dose field sampling measurements, field measurements of plants and animals 14C activity through the Xia Jia Wan and Yang Liu Village, animals and plants than the reference point of 14C activity to be high, this Description gaseous effluent 14C Qinshan nuclear Power base does cause acertain impact on the surrounding environment, but its value is very low, much lower than the national standard.This paper studies the 14C in the process of accumulation of pigeons, mullet,cole by isotope tracer method. offered some basic information for illuminating the behaviors of 14C in environment.Through experiments, it is possible in various parts of the pigeons, mullet, cole were detected in the presence of 14C, indicating that gaseous effluents of 14C in nuclear power plants can enter plants and animals through breathing, feeding, and other ways to various parts of the photosynthesis transfer,wherein for breathing and feeding animals is the main way, is the main way for the photosynthesis of plants.Experiments shows pigeons, mullet, cole, although it will introduce a certain amount of radioactive 14C, but compared to their experimental environment 14C is tiny, the life of nuclear power plants surrounding residents are safe.
