The Research And Design Of Smart Exhibition Hall

With the concepts of smart earth, smart city, etc,come out with the development of technology.The concept of smart exhibition hall finds its place as part of the smart city.There are varieties of exhibition halls classified by purpose, time or form. Permanent humanities exhibition hall is studied since its function of social education.Though there are countless exhibition hall around China, visitors’ experience is not satisfied as most of the exhibition halls only provide traditional service system.Traditional exhibition halls can not meet the needs of visitors with the growing of number and the increasing of education level.The advantages of smart exhibition hall compared with traditional exhibition hall or digital exhibition hall are researched in this paper. The design method of smart exhibition hall are built up with a specific design case followed, based on the idea of service design.Bibliographic information retrieval, empirical research, qualitative analysis and some other specific tools and methods are used in this paper.The background and significance of the subject, research contents, research method and innovation points are given at first,followed with the development of exhibition hall, the comparison between traditional exhibition hall, digital exhibition hall and smart exhibition hall,and the detailed concepts,characteristics, advantages and disadvantages of the three kinds of exhibition halls.The design method of smart service system is studied based on the idea of service design.Shanghai natural history museum, a specific design case, is researched and designed according to the idea of service,and from smart service point.Finally, detailed design of the smart exhibition hall service system is given, based on needs of different visitors.The purpose of this paper is to solve three main existing problems about exhibition hall.The first one is that the visitors, who gain massage passively and can not obtain information on their own initiative, are lack of sense of participation.The second problem is that specific introduction of the exhibit is not showed to the visitors by traditional exhibition hall since the limitation of the presentation method,which makes the effect of social education weaken.Lacking variety, one disadvantage of traditional method, is the third problem. Same management and service for different visitors, unfortunately, lack care about human nature and fails to follow the principle of humanization.Four innovation points are put forward in this paper.The first point is that the designation of smart exhibition hall is guided by the design philosophy of providing good service.The second point is that the service system of smart exhibition hall is researched systematically.The third innovation is the application of the researched smart exhibition hall, such as the new smart exhibition hall designed for Shanghai nature history museum, shows satisfactory result.The forth innovation is that the style and interface design of intelligence information terminal and the style and function design of virtual reality smart exhibition stand bring wonderful interactive experience for visitors.
