Realization Of The Automatic Moving Line Based On The PLC Wiring Harness

In the production process of wiring harness,automobile parts enterprises usually use production mode like artificial mechanical operation and quality inspection with dispersive procedures, which leads to low capacity. Traditional relay control method applied in production line is difficult to satisfy requirements " reduce costs in production line operation and improve product quality”, therefore it is necessary to make automation renovation for old production line.Combined with the characteristics and the process flow of the old production line, the mechanical structure and detection principle, this paper aims to reengineer automation of production moving line based on PLC(Programmable Logic Controller) wiring harness tray, which will effectively integrate processing, detection and moving line together, realizing automation production by which the number of operators and the cost can be greatly reduced and the production efficiency can be improved.Firstly, this paper introduces the study status of automotive wiring harness and reforming background, then it analyzes the characteristics and existing problems of production lines in automotive wiring harness enterprises. Secondly, combined with the characteristics of the original production processing equipment, this paper further demonstrates several kinds of mechanical structure and control ways, and confirms the completion of wiring harness tray moving action by driving the mechanical structure of the mechanical arm with electrical components. Meanwhile, it also studies and improves the neutrons structure of the wire harness trays. Finally, this paper analyzes the technological process in production and designs the control electric circuit of production lines and the PLC program based on PLC controller and cylinder device. Besides, it is equipped with the HMI(Human Machine Interface) control device which has the function of online monitoring and fault alarm for automatic production lines of wiring harness tray.Through transforming automated handling line of wiring harness tray, the production line enjoys high degree of automation, simple operation with online monitoring and alarm system. Production lines have been put into production for about a year, and the operation and control effect is stable and reliable. The production time for single piece increased from 14.8 s/PCS to 13.3 s/PCS, and operators required for normal operation reduced from 5 to 2 people, product yield increased from 94.2% to 99.5%, which resulted in sharp reduction of the number of manual operation personnel as well as increase of the enterprise economic benefits, thus it deserves popularization and application value in the same kind of auto parts production.
