Automotive Wiring Harness Optimize Design And Reliability Study

Automotive wiring harness is the carrier of electrical signals within the car,which is the connecting bridge between the electronic components.Wiring harness is similar to human nerves.If there is no wiring harness for the car,there would be no car circuit,and it could not achieve the requirements of the various functions of the car.It is the continues promotion of car performance in all aspects and the increasing application of new features,that meet people's demand for cars,however,the added functions and the increasing automotive electrical appliances have brought problems to the development of automotive wiring harness.Increasingly complicated automotive interior environment makes it more difficult in design,installation and maintenance of the wiring harness,as the parts and components increase,the weight of the automotive wiring harness is increasing,and has reduced the car's reliability.Therefore,the improvement of the automotive wiring harness has an effect on the development of cars.In this paper the principles and design methods of automotive wiring harness were proposed at first,and on its basis,automotive wiring harness structure was optimized,based on the mathematical hierarchical model and optimization design theory,to reduce the cost of wiring harness;and then,through the analysis of harness material and miniaturization of the diameter,automotive wiring harness lightweight design was conducted to reduce the weight of the wiring harness;and finally,with the application of reliability theory,failure mode analysis of harness design and reliability test of some parts were accomplished.Through this research,we have made arrangement of a large number of wires more efficient and reasonable in a limited inner space of vehicle,thus we have reduced the car costs and improved the reliability,and also have obtained some benefits in the harness lightweight.
