The Application And Research Of The Locallandscape Elements In Urban Wetland Park Designin

Recent years, the pace of China’s urbanization has reached to an unprecedented rate, while some place just followed the traditional method blindly without combining its situation and making the right developing policy, which led to the deterioration of ecological environment and the local culture has not been inherited or developed. In response to the current issue, lots of the scholars and landscape designers have involved in the work of studying on the vernacular landscape, who make unremitting efforts for the purpose of the more ecologic, more healthy and sustainable living environment, meanwhile to guide the people to protect the rural resources rationally, promote and develop the folk culture, protect and excavate the value of the rural landscape, which aim to construct a urban living environment with local characteristics on the premise of satisfying the local living functions.The paper takes the urban wetland park as the cutting point, analyzes current situation and the existing problems of the modern urban wetland park, then raises the viewpoint that developing the sustainable urban landscape needs further research on the local landscape elements, then clarifies how to inherit the local culture better. By summing up the successful models of practical application examples and the theoretical research on the application of local landscape elements, the paper summarizes the application approach of the local landscape elements in the modern urban wetland park. Through the comprehensive analysis and inquiry of the regional natural resources and human spirits, with the current problems of the traditional construction of urban wetland park, it concludes the four design tactics, which aiming to the local landscape, protecting, imitating, re-appearing and symbolizing. Besides, it also raises the three main sorts of localelements in applying strategies in the terms of local elements in natural, artificial and intangible configurations.Taking the wetland park of Jiefang polder in Changsha, which possesses the special geographical location and the deep local culturalbackground,as the case study, with experimental demonstration, the thesis tries to prove that in the future urban wetland park landscape designing, the application of the local landscape elements would be an essential part. Being as a new design idea of landscape, applying the local landscape elementsin the modern urban wetland park, which would definitely be benefit to the sustainable development of landscape, the protection of local cultures, the excavation of the landscape deep value, the protection of the ecologic environment, and the promotion and inheritance of the local culture.
