Based in the bad phenomenon such as overconsuming of the limited period products and discarding the sustainable material, focus in the new ‘carbon emission reduction’ and ‘fully second child liberation’ policy, this dissertation take infant products as the main research object. In this essay, upon the low-carbon life mode, the limited period design strategy of the infant products will be discussed. According to the new design strategy, the new infant product could reach the baby-care need fully and appropriately, and minimize the burden to the environment after the limited period product expires. On the account of that, this design strategy might achieve the superior result that leads customers to a low-carbon life mode.According to the deep and systemic research on low-carbon life mode, this essay will define and attribute the low-carbon life mode, explore the design opportunity for this mode. This article will introduce the concept ‘limited period product design’ to the infancy product, set infant growth characteristics and infant productions as exploration points for limited period infant products research, and take research for the status of the limited period infant products. Taking the essential design principles in account, the low-carbon materials for infant product will be researched and analyzed. limited period product design strategy such as set product design, accurate matching design, the extension and transference for product function will be presented. The way how infant product develop in a low-carbon effect will be discussed as well. Lastly, infant feeding product design will validate the theoretic conclusion of this essay. This essay intents to present generally design strategy for infant limited period product research, and raises lead for the effectiveness and lowcarbon effect of other limited period product.
