Abstract/Summary:
With the development of economics of society, the function of shopping center has transferred from a single form to multi-form called the commercial complex. Therefore,more importance is attached to the landscape of shopping center and the landscape is gradually become one of the purpose for people going to the shopping center. As for the landscape, visual sight is the most directly expression.It has been a project to be considered, referring to how to design the visual landscape through visual elements.In this paper, the design of shopping center’s visual landscape was researched and discussed and the content was mainly divided into two parts. The former part including first three chapters, which mainly content investigation and analysis. Through field investigation in five shopping center,analyzing from the angle of overall tone, style, plant disposition, waterscape design, pavement and service facilities regarding landscapes, it can make a list of characteristics. Firstly, the season flowers are acquiring wider application in landscape. It also concentrate on trimming the bushes, and can show the the diversity of plants. Besides, the waterscape design which mainly include fountains or other dynamic views. Accordingly, material and color of service facilities are in accordance with the overall tone of the landscape. On the basis of results of statistic analysis, it can be generalized several conclusions as follows:To begin with, the neutral tint is the overall tone towards landscapes in shopping center, which is recognized among people. However, the warm tone is the optimal choice for most people. Moreover, the great majority has a fancy for the modern concise style. Besides, tourists long for appreciating bloomers and color-leafed plants. Furthermore, people are more inclined to view dynamic waterscapes. In addition, as for the form of sculpture accessories, visitors tend to crush on practical sculptures and thematic sculptures. Eventually, it is desirable for people to enjoy the use of pavilion and gallery frame referring to the garden structures. Therefore, all these conclusions can be a orientational guidance for our next brilliant design. The later part is the fourth chapter, which is the practical design of project. It contains the analysis of general situation concerning project site, buildings. In addition, it also filled with elaboration of the mentality of design and the presentation of overall design. Based on the investigation and analysis of five shopping centers, the author has made a preliminary knowledge and thinking referring to commercial landscape design. And through the analysis of questionnaire’s result, the author learned about people’s attitude towards the visual elements of commercial landscape. The author attempted to summarize and generalize the key point of the design of visual landscape. Besides, the author regarded the key point as a essential of practicing of project design. And the author hope to provide some references to other commercial landscape designers. The design achievement: Taking the visual perception as the starting point to design this project’s function and space division; based on the pre-writing analysis to do landscape design.Then do this project’s structural design.The author hope it will also be useful for exploring the method to design shopping center landscape, and constantly progress step by step.
