As a World Heritage Site, Hani Terrace is world-widely well known by its unique and amazing terrace landscape and culture. Nowadays, in order to maximize the economic benefit, series of tourism has been developed around the terrace during the current term of World Heritage. Besides, there is also a bunch of construction in the countryside around the area, which was spontaneously conducted by the local villagers. At the same time, the local government was trying to provide series of plans for controlling the constructions. However, due to several practical complexities, the plans can not work effectively to reach their intended target. In conclusion, the traditional countryside landscape unfortunately and constantly got destroyed, because the construction in the area lacks of effective long term planning.Currently, the theory of " multiple plans integration " was applied by city planners in many places in China. There used to be contradictions regarding different aspects in urban and rural planning, which resulted in uncoordinated team work. As one of the solutions, " multiple plans integration " may help to build a unified shared information platform. Consequently, city planners can sort out resources from multiple departments and make compromise between different interests individuals. The theory provided a new solution for the disordered rural planning around the Hani Terrace.I learned multiple dependent plans processing in Hani Terrace through my work in this area. Those plans are leaded by the government and lack of communication between each other; there also absents a plant to share fundamental resources between those plans. These problems directly lead to various overlaps between those plans, and the lack of government monitor and control makes different kinds of illegal constructions in the area hard to curb. Those things caused irreversible damage to the culture heritage in the area. This thesis illustrates the process of studying the cases about the planning and construction in heritage sites of villages allover the world. According to our studies, we analyzed the essential concepts of the theory of "multiple plans integration," and then discussed the ways to utilize the theory into the rural planning in the area of World Heritage Site. Last but not least, we made a rural plan for the town of Duoyishu, constructed a appropriate planning and management platform, selected a representative building in the area to design and update, and gave a verification for the rationality and feasibility of the theory, providing consults and examples for continuing rural planning and construction in the future.
