Heritage area economy grows rapid development following the stimulus of the tourism industry. economic development brings a huge challenge to the heritage of villages and residential management, village landscape and residential management out of control, and even investment and effect of management isn’t proportional, based on this background, to guide by the theory of management in this paper, I wanna to from management mechanism and management methods to protect heritage area and residential village management. The research content mainly from the following several parts:The first part describes background, purpose and significance; and research content and research methods and relevant literature and practice.The second part discusses theory. Explain core concept, analyze the three kinds of management-related management concepts. And then make protection and management of the ancient city of Pingyao and Lijiang as case studies.
