Study On The Urban Design To Build Shan-shui City And Garden City

The urban construction in China is facing two big problems. One is the national wide range of urban development with the same phenomenon occurring lost their own characteristics, for the urban development space to destroy the natural ecological environment, urban environment deteriorating, traditional culture also gradually lost. Second, with the speeding up of urbanization and social transformation, the urban and rural duality contradictions increasingly, farmer’s mode of life and social identity is facing serious challenges. No matter from the perspective of ecological, cultural or social, the concept of shan-shui city and garden city is the loudest voice to solve the contradiction.The research will build Shan-shui and garden city as the goal of urban design research. The dissertation is mainly about the concept of shan-shui city and garden city for a general introduction, combined with case analysis, and putting forward the ideas of shan-shui and garden city, and fully reveal its characteristics.Finally, the Shan-shui and garden city space design techniques were analyzed systematically, the theory is applied to urban design of Shuitian New area.The thesis focuses on the study to design spatial form of Shan-shui and garden city. First, in the research of the spatial pattern of the natural landscape and the city, by the relationships of cities and natural landscapes and different combinations, summed up a universal design approach of the urban design, to analyzing and assessing the urban planning of Shuitian new area, and from a macro point to describe urban plan and development. Secondly, base on the shan-shui city concept as a guide, through the study of Chinese classical garden space design method, summed up the principles of its space design method, combined with these design method and urban design, while drawing Chinese landscape poetry in a variety of ways to express the beauty of the mood, raising the beauty of the mood of Shuitian new area. Finally, base on the garden city concept as a guide, from the retention and development of farmland, mosaic of subcultures, multi-center group layout, rational planning of urban green space system and greenways five angles of view, achieve city and country married, elimination of binary opposition between city and country fundamentally and improve the vitality of the city.The thesis is on the microscale perspective to study the space form of the shan-shui and garden city, and summarize the concepts and principles into practical design methods, I hope to provide some new ideas and methods of design for the space form of shan-shui and garden city in the future.
