Study On City Color System Of Historic Urban Area In Shan Shui City

With the rapid development of urbanization in China, both the development innew urban areas and the reconstruction in historic urban city have been growingvigorously in many cities, but the phenomenon that similarities in the developmentand construction of thousands of cities appear endlessly because of the lack ofoverall consideration and system planning. The concepts of “city color” and “shanshui city” have been put forward at the end of last century, and their coreconnotations, which are different from the one of traditional urban construction, areadopted by many scholars. After that, a large number of city constructers began torealize that: the focus of the urbanization should not be only blind imitation, copy,pursuit of large and wide cities, but also paying attention to the harmony betweenurban development and natural environment and the maintenance of connotation ofcity characteristics, what’s more, it should be the improvement of the cityappearance, promotion of the urban environmental quality and reshapingcharacteristics of the city through the using of the urban color planning system.Compared with the European and American countries, researches on city colorin China are still in the exploratory stage, and some cities, such as Wuhan,Guangzhou, Shanghai and etc., are the fist cities of doing researches on city colortheories which are suitable to China’s national conditions. The seminar on maincolors of urban construction held in the city of Hefei in2005was the beginning ofstudy on city color in Anhui province. This thesis makes a study on regulating citycolor of historic urban area in Chuzhou city and carries on the investigation andanalysis on current situation of historic urban in this city. Combined with the conceptof shan shui city and analysis of theory and case of city color, making use ofcommon requirements in the process of both the construction of shan shui city andrealization of renaissance of historical urban area, the thesis finds out the factorsinfluencing historic urban area in Chuzhou city. Not rigidly adhering to the controlmethod “main color plus ornament color” of city color science in western countries, the paper introduces the concept of city main color, which is suitable to China’snational conditions, and zone control of city color, and the author hopes that thesebasic data and research work in primary stage will be helpful the urban constructionof Chuzhou city.The thesis includes six chapters: Chapter1is introduction of background, thesource of choosing the topic, subject research and objective; Chapter2describes thedefinition of the related concepts, theories analysis and case study; Chapter3dealswith the basic data collection of the actual case-the investigation and analysis of citycolor in Chuzhou city; Chapter4is the study of city color system and relatedcountermeasures in Chuzhou city; Chapter5is Analysis about chuzhou historicurban area plan and Analysis of influencing factor Chapter6presents the conclusionof the whole passage and some related suggestions.
