Details In Interior Design Around Pediatric Patient Wards

A good interior design of pediatric patient wards, can not only enhance the recovery rate of children’s disease and reduce the average length of stay in hospital, but also improves the working condition of the staff live and work for long time in hospital, then to protect their physical and mental health. Needs analysis, function arrangement, nursing and management, safety needs around the realization of the target are not only the process, but also the contents. The result is the further optimization of the design. Try to do something for the improvement of interior design details for the children’s patient wards is the purpose of this research.In this thesis, some analysis about layout mode of pediatric patient wards is presented, also with the function details of nurse station, the set of family-ward, color and lighting design, the establishment of a children’s playroom, the scrutiny of the relevant scale, noise and ventilation problems, security needs and etc.. Phased partially conclusions are drawn.I have visited the general hospital of Nanjing military region, the pediatric department of the first people’s hospital of Suqian, children’s hospital of Dongying. After a review of professional papers of domestic and foreign hospitals abroad, construction standards, also with professional’s thesis, trying to find some interior design-related content, then to extract and explore its contents which can be optimized.Because of the complexity of interior design for pediatric patient wards, through literature retrieval, interview survey, expert discussion, combined with the actual application, handle means of observation scrutiny, this thesis tries to touch some main aspects of it. Some conclusions can be drawn, but some still need to be searched further.
