An aircraft can fly over all obstacles safely when missed approach with one engine out, which has significant meaning for flight safety in approach and landing phases. While when the aircraft is close to maximum landing weight & one engine out, not all the aircraft can be guaranteed to make the climb gradient at least 2.5%. The Engine Out Missed Approach Procedure is used to properly avoid obstacles and ensure the safety of aircraft. As a result, we can increase the maximum landing weight and payload, namely effectively improve the economic benefit of airlines. This paper comprehensively study Engine Out Missed Approach Procedures design, according to simulating multiple flight trajectories by MATLAB. We propose a novel method called "average track", which can be used to determine the turning radius and optimize the design of Engine Out Missed Approach Procedures.During former process of Engine Out Missed Approach Procedures Design, it is very difficult to do CAD chart works in obstacle assessment. We propose a novel method precisely locate the obstacle positions, and use these obstacle data for carrying out performance assessment & obstacle clearance checking. We make the obstacle assessment more accurate and efficient. When an aircraft is operating at high-altitude airport in low temperature, the aerodynamic performance is poor. Use traditional barometer altitude correction method, the flight altitude is too higher than the design altitude, which has negative effect on missed approach, especially with one engine out of aircraft. In this paper, we calculate and analysis the correction of barometer altitude under different airport elevation and temperature condition. The method given in this paper obviously reduce the altitude correction value by tens or even thousands of feet, which make engine out missed approach easier operate.
