Forklift, as a kind of production has a long history of handling machinery, in logistics, building, transportation and other industries play an important role. With the development of the logistics industry and related industries, the forklift need more and more varieties, each forklift brand product to try an impregnable position in the intense market competition at home and abroad, to speed up the upgrading of products and the development of high-tech products, at the same time form the product diversification, serialization, to meet the needs of the market development. From the product type development side forklift products with special functions to make up for the counterweight forklift profit space to promote the development of enterprises of forklift truck industry to be solved at the present time, is also an effective way.Forklift machine design were studied in this paper the basic theory, and fully digital against a side forklift truck design. CREO, the mainstream of 3 d design software and finite element analysis software ANSYS, realize 3 d digital prototype design and structural analysis. And abandon the traditional design concept and idea, adopt the top-down TopDown design thinking, first determine the structure parameters, and detail design in accordance with the overall parameters.This paper studied the engineering machinery in forklift truck design application of the virtual prototype technology, and analyze the concrete application of related technologies in this method, and through market research and demand analysis, kinematics analysis and design, equipment all the moving parts of function analysis, structure analysis, function and structure of mapping, and the determination of main parameters such as process. Virtual detailed design mainly involves side forklift equipment virtual module design, module coding, design and virtual variant design process, etc. Could be divided into Structure module, power module, hydraulic module, man-machine engineering module and so on several big function module, and create the 3 d model of the various modules.ANSYS software system, the virtual model of side forklift, respectively, the statics and dynamics simulation. Respectively for the car body, door frame structural parts such as the finite element analysis under different working conditions, and can be divided into 1-10 order frequency of mechanical parts of frequency analysis, obtained in the easy resonance area under the natural frequency and modal, and take corresponding measures to avoid them. According to the transverse cylinder type steering bridge structure dynamic simulation, and optimization design of four bar linkage, in order to achieve the best effect.Side forklift truck design entity prototype conducted after the completion of production, and for the internal test, type test and industrial test three levels of experiment verified. In this paper, the virtual simulation calculation results and actual test results were analyzed, the results show that the application of virtual prototype design method, fully meet the requirements of customers to use, and can shorten product design cycle is 40%, reduce product cost, improve product quality and reliability.
