At present, China’s economic development has entered a "new normal" period, the construction and development of logistics parks, although entering a new phase, but also produced a series of problems. Especially with the accelerating process of urbanization and growing urban areas, the original urban fringe areas quickly became the center so that the traffic on surrounding road network of logistics park land increase rapidly. Traffic congestion has become increasingly prominent, restricted the development of logistics parks. Therefore, to improve the traffic environment of logistics parks, the introduction of traffic impact analysis method, planning logistics park from the micro-level with reason, is an important measure to promote the sustainable development of the logistics park.Firstly, this paper analyzes the emergence, development and traffic characteristics of logistics parks between domestic and foreign countries, determining the feature, step and content of TIA of the logistics park. Secondly, on the basis of analyzing traffic impact threshold determination methods of the general construction project, this paper improves method to determine the size threshold and introduces it into logistics park, proposes relevant factors which affect the size threshold and uses the size threshold to determine whether logistics park needs to do TIA; on the basis of methods between domestic and foreign to determine the traffic impact area, this paper introduces and improves substance diffusion expression proposed by fick’s law, uses wave model to determine traffic impact area of logistics park. Thirdly, considering the traffic impact of freight traffic volume and passenger traffic volume, this paper gives methods to predict induced traffic, background traffic, traffic distribution and traffic assignment of logistics park, determines quantitative indicators on behalf of the sections service level, intersection degree of influence, parking effect and other qualitative analysis of indicators of TIA, and proposes internal and external traffic organization improvement measures of logistics park. Finally, this paper takes Shengxiang logistics in Qingbaijiang District of Chengdu City as an example, using the improved TIA method to do case study.Research shows that the introduction of size threshold to traffic impact analysis of the logistics park is feasible. The value of size threshold is related to variety of factors such as freight volume, van type, number of truck trips, truck deadweight, truck load factor. In research of determining traffic impact area of logistics park, this paper introduces and improves Fick’s law which describes substance diffusion, establishs a relationship among maximum radius of influence, scale of logistics park and minimal impact. It can provide the basis for the research on traffic impact area of similar projects.Futhermore, in the process of building wave model, the calibration of model parameters is simplified, which is limited. In research of TIA indicators, only considering the improvement of indicators, this paper does not propose characteristic freight impact assessment indicators. Therefore, in the follow-up work, these issues need to be further investigated.
