With the accelerated process of urbanization and mobility in China, the contradiction between demand and supply of urban traffic is becoming more and more serious, the phenomenon of traffic congestion is increasing, and the traffic problem of the cross-river pathway is not optimistic. At the same time, some of the early constructed cross-river pathways occurred disease because of overload, leading to the increase of the cross-river pathway reconstruction projects. The reconstruction of the cross-river pathway will greatly promote its capacity, improve the traffic congestion situation, and eliminate security risks, but the cross-river pathway will be closed during the reconstruction period, which will bring more bad influence to the urban road network. Therefore, it is important to take the scientific traffic organization measures to minimize the impact on urban road network during the reconstruction of cross-river pathway.At present, the method of traffic organization during the period of reconstruction is generally qualitative analysis, lacking the analysis of traffic characteristics of construction area. Besides, the traffic organization scheme is lack of the support by the analysis of flow data and the effect evaluation process. Based on this background, Chinese scholars focused on the research on the methods of traffic organization in construction area, and put forward improvement methods, but it has not formed a systematic method system yet. At the same time, the object of the research is mostly around in rail transit construction, highway construction, municipal road construction and other aspects, while the researches which aim at the urban cross-river pathway are much less.Therefore, based on the analysis of traffic characteristics on construction area, the analysis of traffic impact area, the analysis of traffic organization method and the analysis of simulation and evaluation of the scheme, this paper focuses on the urban cross-river pathway as the research object, on the basis of previous studies, summarizes the existing method of traffic organization, analyzes the applicable conditions of traffic organization measures, and puts forward a systematic method of traffic organization on influence area during the construction of cross-river pathway.Firstly, this essay summarizes existing problems of the cross-river pathways in our country, describes the classification and characteristics of different reconstruction methods, and analyzes the traffic characteristics of roads, vehicles, drivers, pedestrians and non-motor vehicles on the construction influence area;Secondly, the target and principles of traffic organization on construction area are clarified, combining the technical and working process of traffic organization. What’s more, this essay also analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of different evaluating methods of traffic impact area, evaluates the traffic impact area using the method of threshold value based on level of service of intersection, specifically elaborates organization methods of social vehicles, public transit vehicles, construction vehicles, pedestrians and non-motor vehicles, and discusses in detail about the prophase work of traffic organization, the impact of regional comprehensive renovation, and the work after the end of construction;Thirdly, it analyzes the characteristics of macro simulation software and micro simulation software, puts forward a traffic simulation methods combining TransCAD and VISSIM, establishes an evaluation index system based on the efficiency of traffic operation, and uses AHP vague integrated evaluation method to evaluate the traffic organization schemes;At the end of this paper, taking the reconstruction project of Anchang bridge in Mianyang City as a case study, this essay analyzes the traffic status around Anchang bridge, analyzes the traffic impact area during the construction period, puts forward detail schemes about the social vehicles, public transport vehicles, construction vehicles, pedestrians, non-motor vehicles, and evaluates different schemes to find out the optimal scheme. It shows that the method of traffic organization during the reconstruction period which is proposed in this paper is reasonable and feasible, and has certain practical and reference values.
