The phenomena of road construction on City Roads have increased recently because of the development of infrastructure and maintenance. In order to avoid traffic accidents caused by construction section and ensure traffic order in construction site, the research of traffic organization in road construction area is extremely important.Above all, based on expounding the concept, the road construction area is divided into different sections. Combined with the traffic flow theory, the traffic characteristics of different traffic factors(human, vehicle, road and environment) are analyzed.Based on the traffic organization principles, this passage mainly focused on the settings of traffic organization. Firstly, the calculation formulas of different section length are given consulted for many standards. Secondly, how to set the traffic signs and markings is expounded in detail. What’s more, the calculation formula of the pre-distance is deduced through constructing the cognitive model of traffic signs. Thirdly, based on the analysis of impact factors of speed limit, this passage innovatively puts forward the Panel Data Speed limit model.Further, Simulation research on traffic organization of road construction area is conducted in this paper by using of vissim. Some indicator parameters are chosen to evaluate the simulation experiment. And the simulation results are compared with the theoretical analysis, after which this passage puts forward some recommendation value. What’s more, traffic impact area is also researched in this passage. Using the simulation experiment of dynamic traffic assignment, choosing the saturation as evaluating indicator, this passage analyzes the road network before and after the road construction, thus the traffic impact area is obtained.Finally, the traffic organization is evaluated through constructing evaluation system by the method of multiple-parameters comprehensive evaluation with the evaluating indicators of saturation, average speed, density of traffic and average delay. In the end, the comprehensive evaluation function values are obtained.
