In recent years, after China has entered into the peak stage of rail construction in the city, a great number of urban rail transit stations are emerging in the city, the convenient and fast city transportation system affects city residents’travel, gathering and distribution and the change of the flow of people, and it also change jointly the development trend and price of the land surrounding the rail transit station, at the same time, the strategic overall arrangement of the city development is also changed. The construction of the rail transit station and surrounding space will lead to the change of the strategy of city development, as the most primary cause, it promotes the construction and development of the city to some extent.The integration research of subway and its surrounding space is a special urban form produced by the 3D integration of many urban elements, which is the concentrated reflection of the development trend of the urban intensification, organization and multi-dimension on the background of the increasing spatial resource shortage, it is also an important measure of the "compact-harmonious" style of urban construction.Besides researching on the integration of rail transit and surrounding space, we also investigate and survey the cohesive relation between the subway and surrounding space in Beijing, discuss and analyze the causes according to the functional classification of urban space, and give some practical advices, we also explore deeply in the some aspects of the idea innovation, functional location, planning guideline, spatial arrangement, development difficulty and design point. The paper will reflect the present situation and difficulties of the integration between the development of rail transportation and surrounding space in China.
