With the acceleration of urbanization, people's travel requirements are more diversified.A large number of passenger and vehicle flows have caused more and more serious urban traffic congestion.Meanwhile, the dramatic rise in urban traffic volume also results in the deterioration of the environmental quality.According to the basic conditions of our nation, the best way to tackle traffic congestion is to execute urban public transport on a large scale. When the rail transport and the conventional public transport serve for a mutual transport corridor, they are in a relation of competition. However, when the conventional public transport connects a travel destination and a rail transport station, they are in cooperative relations. As a result, the reasonable planning of the conventional public transport routes in rail transport corridor is of great significance to relieve traffic pressure and improve the environment. To start with, this thesis starts with the analysis of the distinctiveness of rail transport and conventional public transport and a comparison of their advantages and disadvantages respectively. It clarifies the function, cooperative and competitive relations and integral relations of rail transport and conventional public transport in the urban public transport system. This thesis also explores the range of corridors for the rail transport and the topological structure of rail transport and conventional public transport, identifies the conventional public transport routes to be regulated. It reaches a conclusion on the decisive factors, regulative principles and regulative targets for the optimization of conventional public transport network under the context of rail transport route. It probes into the optimal regulative schemes of conventional public transport route influenced by the rail transport. Then,in terms of the collection of conventional public transport routes with rail transport route, after the adaptability period of rail transport, the conventional public transport routes with high repetition rate of rail transit are screened out. This study analyzes and calculates the optimal number of bus stops and the distance between stops based on the shortest commuting time for passengers.According to the assumption of even passenger flow, this study proposes a mathematical formula to calculate the optimal number of bus stops and the distance between stops. These two variables are closely related to the overlapping length, walking speed, the driving speed of conventional public transport and the delayed time at a bus stop.In addition,in terms of the public transport route in a broad sense, for the target of maximizing the volume of passenger flow with the minimum expenditure on per mile, this study establishes an optimization model for public transport route in a broad sense.Furthermore, this study makes use of improved genetic algorithm to propose a process for working out solutions. This study, combined with the current situation of conventional public transport route, works out the optimal regulative strategy for public transport with the help of MATLAB software to do algorithmic programming. Finally, based on the principles of being systematic, pragmatic, comparable and compatible, and on the coordination of stations and networks,a comprehensive evaluation system is established for the integration of public transport and rail transport. The author utilizes the comprehensive evaluation method which combines analytic hierarchy method and gray correlation method to evaluate the integration of public transport and rail transport based on the given optimal regulative scheme for public transport.Taking the rail transport line 2 in Xi'an as a case study, the author illustrates the value and significance of the study in this thesis.
