The Structure And Safety Analysis Of FSC Car Frame Based On FEM

The frame is racing car’s main component, it carries and installs the various parts and at the same time it also suffers all kinds of load from the track and the vibration of engine. In addition, the car frame will also play a role to protect the driver. Therefore, a reasonable frame plays a key role to improve the car’s various properties, it has a great significance to develop and manufacture a high-quality racing car.In order to improving and perfecting the car’s various properties. In this paper the 2015 year racing car’s frame structure and security are analyzed. Firstly, design and draw the three-dimensional geometric model of the frame according to the competition rule in CATIA software. Secondly, import the model into the ANSYS Workbench, and make some parameterization treatment to the finite element model. Thirdly the stress and strain nephograms under different working conditions are getting through the computation of the computer. Then the stiffness and strength of the frame can be checked by calculating.The static result of the frame is just one aspect of the frame’s safety evaluation, the dynamic characteristics of the frame are also very important to the racing car’s security. Through the modal analysis of the frame, different stages of the inherent frequency and inherent vibration mode can be obtained. And make sure the frame’s natural frequency can avoid the car’s all kinds of vibration frequency in order to avoid damage due to resonance.Due to the car’s collision performance can reflect the security while in collision, improving it’s collision performance can reduce the damage to the driver car while in collision accident. The collision process of the frame is simulated in this paper, the car’s security is analyzed through the calculation in LS-Dyna, and a further security guarantee for the competition car is made.
