| With the deepening of the urbanization process, new town will still be one of the most important matters of urban construction in China. The study on road network layout and scale of the new town under transit-oriented development (TOD) may have a significance to drive the development of new town and enlighten new town planning practice in our country.Through the social economic, social pursuit, space structure and major infrastructure, the effect to urban development of new town is analyzed, and its concept is defined on location and function. Secondly, the characteristic of new town traffic system is analyzed by traffic structure and passengers. Then, combining with the new town objects, the response strategies are put forward. Finally, the connotation of the new town development mode on TOD is defined and it distinguishes classifications of TOD.The study on network layout contains network form and network layout method. By analyzing the traffic function, adaptability to new town pattern and influence for space function, it selects the network layout that is suitable for the TOD new town. Then, in order to ensure the bus priority, the network planning method is put forward and it provides the bus coverage indicator to study the spacing between primary roads.On the basis of analyzing preponderant trip distance for each road grade, it establishes the model between supply and demand of transportation turnover investigation as the road grade configuration method.Because of multiple schemes for road network planning, the strength and weakness needs quantitative analysis method to ensure the equity. It ascertains the index system of adaptability analysis and makes each factor with quantitative research. Therewith, the model of adaptability analysis is constructed by the deviation method of minimum subordinative degree.Finally, these are applied to Suzhou Gaotie new town. |
