As Chinese economic growth, accelerating urbanization, built-up areas expanse. The urban scale grow rapidly, while traffic problems become increasingly serious. City designers and builders have to think deeply of our future direction of urban development and the approach of solving current problems. In urban planning and construction, the advanced thinking is that the public transport leading Oriented Development (TOD) ideas. The idea's is that public transport site leads to city's development and outward expansion. The arm is to solve the urban traffic problems by mass rapid transit. BRT (Bus Rapid Transit), as a transport mode between rail and bus transport, which has many advantange, such as low cost, short construction period, operating speed, large volume, flexible, environmentally friendly, easy to form networks. BRT can ease the traffic congestion effectively, reduce travel costs of the residents, improve quality and efficiency of transportation, being used by more and more cities. This paper first describes TOD and BRT concept and core ideas. Then, it analyzes the advantages of establishing BRT system. This article focuses on the BRT site planning and spacing of their site optimized. Based on TOD development ideas, it analyzes BRT site planning and site development. The station spacing optimization problems, this paper analyzes the influence factors, and establishes their optimization models. Finally, it gives some examples.
