Ship domain are widely used in the field of evaluating ship collision risk, prediction and control vessel traffic safety, water transport planning, waterway navigation capacity, maritime transport capacity and other fields. Currently the main method for determining the area of the ship is observation method, observation method can obtain the actual state of the ship’s objective data. But the observation method to obtain the data are small and can’t get inadequate information, in order to solve this problem this paper would do research about based on AIS data. AIS data contains wealth of information and large number ship data at the same time processing is more complex. In view of the AIS data processing is more complex, so this paper build this platform to do research about ship domain model based on AIS data. The ship domain model platforms including ships dynamic and static information databases, software interface WinForm applications, data fitting process in three parts.Ship domain model platform can achieve the following functions:establish Ship dynamic and static ship information database to facilitate quick inquiry, ship management information data; conduct research on different factors, such as research waters, ship type, length of the ship, ship speed, time for ship domain model; not only for the field of research vessels, and can use data specific ship Marine Traffic flow studies and other areas.To test the validity of the platform, we use AIS data of Chengshantou waters to statistic the ship domain of different types of ships, different size of ship and achieved more satisfactory results, the effectively and the functions of the platform in the field of ship domain research meet the design requirements.
