Intelligent rice cooker is welcome by a lot of people for its stylish appearance, humanized operation mode and multifunction. With the development of economy and innovation of products, household electric cooker also gradually changes to the multifunctional intelligent electric cooker. Owing to the rigid demand of the consumers, a stable increase occurs in the market of electric cooker in recent years. Therefore, more and more home appliance manufacturers put emphasis on the research and innovative design of the intelligent electric cooker. Under the plan of "Made in China 2025"and the influence of the transform from made in China to create in China, research and development of rice cooker also gradually changed to high-end, information process and intelligence.Firstly by the market research, knowing the users’perceptual demand of intelligent rice cooker, the author will collect the words composition of it, and construct an imagery space of modeling samples, then draw the concept of product design. In this concept, the author will do the scheme design respectively through two different design methods.Firstly, the author will use the design method of Kansei engineering, find the words composition of intelligent rice cooker. Then use the morphological analysis to analyze intelligent rice cooker’s appearance features, and make a classification and summary of the products’modeling samples. The author will construct a perceptual image table, according to different design requirements, we can search and get some suitable modeling samples through the table. Then to combine and improve these samples, the last step is to design the product schema. Secondly, the author will use the product concept-driven way to interpret its product concept, get the directation of product design, through brainstorming session, hoping to get another product schema. Finally, With the help of QFD, the author can make a evaluative contrast between these two schemes. Only in this way, can people build the HOQ, then make a comparison with other similar products, in addition to, check whether it meets customer need. After these steps, we can choose a more satisfying product scheme. Through comparative analysis, we can get the conclusion that using the perceptual design way is more suitable for user’s demands.On the above, by calculating the satisfaction of customer’s demand through HOQ, we can know that the design of Kansei engineering can be more directed reflecting the user’s demands. For most of the product concept-driven way take the way of qualitative inference, subjectivity is relatively strong, however, the design method of Kansei engineering can truly reflect the users’demands in the design process, so it can improve the users’ demands satisfaction degree in design scheme.
