A large number of widely used new machinery technology, the rapid expansion of city, the great development of land transport networks and the fact that various large-scale construction projects provide engineering machinery products a huge space for development. Construction machinery has changed their early simple, single function of the initial state gradually to a form with complex, full-featured, high performance, multipurpose, series, handsome in appearance, comfortable direction. Nowadays, following the continuously enriched connotation, the design of mechanical products is becoming an increasingly complex and systematic work. However, in our country, construction machinery enterprises emphasis on the concept of product technology features which made product homogeneity serious, products have less market competitive than foreign similar products. Domestic construction machinery exports realized the drawbacks of construction machinery products development, they try to establish a wide range of systems of construction machinery products appearance design, unfortunately, they have different opinions, a complete system hasn't been established.In this paper, a method based on kansei engineering will be proposed to evaluate and positioning design of construction machinery. This method use eye-tracking as a tool for evaluating information collected, the data we have got from the eye-tracking experiment will be analysis to obtain critics data to make a rational evaluation of product design. According to the results, semantic differential method (SD method) and factor analysis will be used do a relatively accurate positioning, create a more systematic evaluation of the set system.Kansei engineering is a good tool to transfer consumers'emotional factors to production design elements. However, when we used semantic differential method to obtain consumers'consumers' emotional factors, the results always were inaccurate because of their different subjective feelings. To solve this problem, the author proposes "evaluate determine positioning". Through the high technology equipment used, we can select scientific and rational information the testing team has provided, ensuring he reliability of data used for positioning.Finally, a type of excavator for Shandong Lingong will be used as a model in the eye-tracking experiment and relevant user surveys. The new method should be used in the experiment to verify the reliability and validation of it.
