With the rapid urbanization of China and new town construction strode forward, rapid urbanization of land for new construction has brought pressure on the ecosystem and impacted the original landscape. Guangzhou Nansha District is defined as the delta region geologically with rich water system and sensitive eco-system. The water system needs to be considered carefully in the urban design of it. Urban design, water system planning, flood control and landscape design should be integrated as one.This paper compare different period of urban design on Nansha district with each other to find the problems in urban design due to neglect water system design. Take several delta urban design cases at home and abroad as example, to find the best way of delta urban design in terms of living with nature and create a harmonious relationship between people and land.The paper is divided into three parts:The first part is theoretical research. Mainly describes the background, significance and methods described herein. Summarize the relevant theories and methods of delta urban design in conjunction with urban design cases, which make the theoretical basis for this study.The second part is current situation research. Analyze problems on urban design of Nansha district.The third part is case research. Research on delta urban design methods integrated to water system planning and brings up the targets, principles, methods and system of delta urban design integrated to water system planning. Extract the Delta city urban design prototype form, and summed up the urban design method integrated to water system planning for Nansha delta.
